Holiday Season in Costa Rica – Day by Day Itinerary
Fly into San José, the capital of Costa Rica. A beautiful ride though the countryside will begin your holiday season in Costa Rica by bringing you to your hotel, Arenal Springs. With beautiful views of the majestic Arenal Volcano, this will be a spectacular welcoming to Costa Rica.
Right into the action with a safe and exciting zip line adventure. Take a trek up to the cables on horses or a tractor, and then enjoy the great views while soaring through the sky. After all that excitement, take the evening to relax and immerse yourself in the natural hot springs of The Springs Resort. A delicious dinner will cap off quite an incredible day!
Today is the day to spot all those animals that Costa Rica is so famous for. Float down the Peñas Blancas River and be sure to keep your eyes open for monkeys, sloth, toucans, and much more! After the river float, head back to Arenal Springs and enjoy the natural hot springs on the property.
Take one last look at the Arenal volcano before setting off for the beach. Take in the scenic drive to the province of Guanacaste, ultimately ending in Tamarindo. Check-in to the Tamarindo Diria Beach Hotel and enjoy perhaps Tamarindo’s finest family hotel.
Day 5 & 6:
After so much action, it is time to just relax and unwind. Tamarindo and the surrounding area have so many great beaches to offer! Check out downtown Tamarindo, hang out on the beach, or just relax by the pools at the Diria, you are on vacation!
You have seen the jungles, the volcanoes, and the beach, but now it is time to head out onto the water! A snorkeling cruise out on the Pacific will allow you to see some of Costa Rica’s aquatic life. After snorkeling, sit back and watch the awe-inspiring sunset!
Unfortunately, your time at the beach has come to an end. A private van will take you back to San Jose, where you will check-in to the Courtyard by Marriott. The hotel is great for families, and close enough to San Jose to get some last minute souvenir shopping done!
All good things come to an end, and today is the end of an incredible family vacation! Hopefully you leave with a good tan, some great pictures, and even better family memories!
